Animal Appearances

March.
Raccoons create their homes. Keep garbage inside until pickup, secure lids and make sure porches are closed. Install chimney caps.
Groundhogs come out from hibernation. Put up fencing, wobbly at the top, and spread out mesh on the ground to throw off tunneling.
April.
Migrating birds hit windows. Put aluminum foil in one-foot squares against the pane.
Canada geese. Plant high vegetation around ponds. Borrow a friend's dog, especially a border collie.
May.
Mother skunks become more active and can fall into window wells. Cover the wells with plastic, if possible.
Beavers dam. Install a pipe through the dam to let the water run.
June.
Baby birds fall out of trees. Gently put them back. Their parents will take care of them despite the human touch.
